Artist Statement

I paint and create from my heart, the same way I cook and parent my wonderful son, no recipes, just pure unconditional love. My art exemplifies truth and everything good in this world. Being a dedicated single Mother, my son inspires me through his integrity, honesty and remarkable wisdom. He makes the world a better place everyday with his kind words and acts of kindness towards me and others. I am inspired and in awe of the beauty of nature and I tend to lean towards an abstract impressionistic lens as I am most definitely inspired from the 19th century Great Master Impressionist artists. My art is a reconnection to a childhood and early adulthood passion. An artistic talent and calling has a wonderful way of warmly encompassing you daily, year after year as it seeps out and calls for you to create.

I am an educator and have been a teacher and College/University Professor for over 20 years, Education is the answer for social change. I believe in arts education for children in public schools, it is a wonderful medium for self expression. I am a writer, a public speaker and I am most importantly a dedicated Mother to my son. I am an advocate for the prevention of child abuse and domestic violence. Both my life and my art, exemplifies beauty and truth.
